Microdermabrasion
Dr. Naidu uses the DermaSweep™ MD system to perform microdermabrasion. This system uses a variable-level vacuum system to gently lift the skin and remove the top layer of dead skin. The skin is left smoother as the vacuum action of the wand stimulates blood flow, cleans the pores, and moves the skin debris to a HEPA filter. By improving blood flow to the skin, collagen production is stimulated, which firms and tones the epidermis. The DermaSweep™ MD system is helpful in reducing early aging lines, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin texture, photodamage, surgical scars, and can improve overall skin health.
DermaSweep™’s Epi-Infusion treatments combine exfoliation with the delivery of paraben-free topical solutions. Available treatments include the following:
- Hyaluronic acid: contains hyaluronic acid, aloe, and panthenol to effectively moisturize the skin and promote skin healing.
-Vitamin C: contains vitamin C and sodium hyaluronate to deeply moisturize the skin and boost collagen synthesis.
-Skin Lightening: contains kojic acid, azelaic acid, licorice, lactic acid, bearberry, aloe, chamomile, vitamins A, C, E, K, green tea, and panthenol to naturally brighten and renew the skin while improving cell turnover.
-Acne: contains salicylic acid, aloe, panthenol, and witch hazel to increase cell turnover, smoothe the skin’s texture, and accelerate healing while minimizing scarring in oily and acne-prone skin types.
-Calming: contains aloe, Avena sativa, allantoin, chamomile, and ginseng to soothe, moisturize, and rejuvenate sensitive skin.
-Balancing: contains panthenol, allantoin, beta carotene, and Salix nigra, which calms, soothes, and increases cellular renewal in all skin types.
-Exfo: contains glycolic and salicylic acids to increase cell turnover and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The treatments are safe and painless, and the skin is noticeably softer after the first session. The DermaSweep™ system does not use aluminum oxide crystals, eliminating the risk of skin irritation secondary to embedded particles. Treatments generally take 30-45 minutes to perform, and you are able to return to normal activities immediately. A specific maintenance program will be recommended following the procedure.
