JUVEDERM™, RADIESSE®, and ARTEFILL®
As we age, the effects of years of facial muscle movement and loss of volume are visible as laugh lines, crows’ feet around the eyes, thinner lips, and creases near the nose and lips.  Juvederm™, Radiesse®, and Artefill® can help fill in these lines and creases, producing a smoother, fuller and more youthful appearance.

Juvederm™ is made of hyaluronic acid, a natural compound which is normally found in our skin.  It is best suited for injection into the creases around the nose and lips, and into the lips.  The results last 6-8 months.  Radiesse® uses calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel.  These microspheres stimulate the body to produce additional collagen.  It is best used in the creases around the nose and lips, in the cheeks to increase volume, and to elevate the height of the nose.  The effects from Radiesse® last up to 1 ½ years.  Artefill® is composed of microspheres which contain polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), a commonly used artificial implant material.  It is indicated for injection into the creases around the nose and lips.  The results are permanent.

Initial Consultation for Restylane® and Juvéderm™ Injections
During your initial consultation with Dr. Naidu, she will discuss with you your desires and expectations from the procedure. This will include a complete medical history and an examination of the skin and soft tissue of the face. Dr. Naidu will suggest a procedure that suits you best and answer any questions that you might have.

Injections Procedure
Both Restylane® and Juvéderm™ are injected using small needles into the deep layer of the skin or lips. The skin is “plumped” and creases and fine lines are filled in. Both products may be used alone or in conjunction with other procedures such as Botox®. The procedure takes 30 minutes to perform, and is done in the office under local anesthesia. The results are visible immediately. No bandaging is necessary, and makeup may be worn the same day.

Post Injection Procedure
Some patients experience bruising for several days after the injections, and therefore you should schedule your injection at least one week in advance of an anticipated event or meeting. The effects of the injection last between four and six months, although this varies between patients.
